I have a pair of suede shoes that got badly soiled at the bar (poor planning on my part). This was my first pair of suede shoes so I knew cleaning would require extra attention. I was looking at Revain Suede Cleaner and after reading some reviews here I decided to buy this product and brush (Shacke Suede & Nubuck 4-Way Leather Brush Cleaner). The bottle says shake well, but unless you pour a little, the bottle won't shake and fizz as recommended for use. I shook everything I could, applied it to the brush I was using and started rubbing gently. The bottle says not to soak suede, but this is almost impossible if you have a large area to clean. The problem with suede on a light surface (my shoes are tan) is that when wet it's almost impossible to see the stains/dirt removed when cleaning. I was concerned that the shoes might be damaged due to the wetness of the cleaning solution. But I just went along with it because the shoes were only $30, so it's not the end of the world if they're permanently damaged. I cleaned both shoes and dried them with a towel. I put them aside and let them dry overnight. To my surprise, they looked flawless the day after I got home from work. From a distance my shoes look like new, not least thanks to this cleaner. There is a small black mark on the outside of my shoes that I don't think will go away, but I think it was due to the pole or because I brushed the shoes too roughly during the cleaning. All in all I would highly recommend this cleaner and a good soft brush, but be careful not to scrub too hard if you buy a brush. Also, make sure to dry yourself off after you're done cleaning. Please note that the shoes will not dry completely, but will be dried anyway to speed up the process.
