Do you need a tarpaulin that will protect you from most weather conditions except a hurricane or snowstorm? It will probably work. It's extremely heavy, durable, and unlike some other reviews here, it's actually waterproof. I used it for just under a month to cover a pile of firewood and yard waste and it blocked out the rain and stayed in place despite the strong wind. If you need a regular tarp for casual everyday use, you probably won't need it. But if you need something that you need to use a lot and last a long time, this is probably the way to go.
