I bought this because my chinchilla Pepper likes to sleep in the corner of her cage. I thought a little house if she uses it would be a great way to get her to be a little more open minded and trust us. To my surprise, she actually LOVES the little house! She sleeps in it all the time and sticks her head out when she hears "Pepper!" or "Chiiiiiiin!" which I really like. The only downside to this little cottage is that the hooks are at a very awkward height, making it difficult to put on her cage. I'm afraid she'll fall out if I put it away from her shelf, but I also want her to have room to walk around the shelves if she wants. In my opinion, hooks are just very uncomfortable and sometimes difficult to attach. I also wanted to add that I love that the little pad inside is removable which makes cleaning so much easier!
