Same as original equipment. However, I have noticed that unless you use a very thin feeler gauge when installing and tightening the coil, you can damage the coil if you put it too close to the magnets on the flywheel. It would be helpful to provide some very simple instructions. For example: - Remove the screws from the old coil, pull the connector cable out of the connector. - With a new coil, plug the connector cable onto the connector. Thread the screws into the new coil almost all the way, but do not tighten - Turn the flywheel by hand until the magnet is flush with the coil - Use the thinnest metal feeler gauge (.006") and place between one side of the coil and the magnet. Tighten this screw slightly. Move the probe to the other side of the same coil. You may need to move the coil away from the magnet to insert the probe. no contact - Now tighten both screws. Turn the handwheel again to ensure there is no contact. If so, loosen the screw, disconnect the coil from the magnet, insert the feeler gauge, tighten the screw and turn the hand wheel again to ensure there is no contact. Repeat these steps for the other coil if the engine is a twin.
