About 5 years ago I switched our cars to Mobil 1 oil and filters and literally change the oil once a year at the annual inspection. That worked out great as both cars are about 10 years old but don't need any further engine maintenance. Here's a great tip for buying oil if you're a member of Costco - about every 3-4 months they're offering $10 for a 6 liter case and you just can't beat the price when it's on sale. As several people have mentioned, keep an eye on price fluctuations and I always try to catch them at a lower price.
