You can use a tissue for this, you don't want dirt getting in the way of your new filling. 3) When you create a new fill for the first time, it will seem too small. This is not the case, you just need to carefully place the inner sealing ring around the lip of the canister. You'll have to go around a few times to ensure a good fit. If you don't, your toilet will most likely continue to leak (and continue to frustrate you). under the canister, not on top. You should also do a few test flushes to make sure it's working properly and the seal is correct. 5) Some people here say it's a 30 second fix. No, take your time and do it right.
