Works well. This is TL-SF1016DS - the letter S after the letter D indicates a steel case. It includes a pair of brackets. The row of indicator lights is to the left of the ports and is a little small to be seen in actual use. It uses a standard PC power cord - an older type that's a bit stiff and bulky. The power cord exits the opposite side of the power cords and should be straight for 4 or 5 inches before bending the other way. There is no fan, so it is absolutely silent. It looked like a good value for money 16 port router to me and I wasn't disappointed at all. I got this switch to make it easier for me to move my main router to another room for better WiFi coverage. Everything that was connected directly to my #1 router and 8-port switch is now ported to this 16-port switch - an unmanaged TP-Link in a steel case (with a black powder coat finish). When I first plugged it in, my #2 router stopped working. Router #1 and #2 are Netgear R6400. Router #2 was previously connected directly to Router #1, but is now connected to this TP-Link switch instead. The problem turned out to be a bad RJ-45 connection on one of the cables and moving to a new switch caused it to start behaving. The symptom was that only router #1's wireless connections were working, but neither router #2's wired nor wireless connections. After I resolved this issue by replacing this cable, I had no problems. This switch is mounted fairly neatly out of sight on the wall, not too far from the cable modem (where my router #1 used to be, but is now in a different room).
