I have a chair that I sit in and get up in many times each day and when I moved it back and forth across the carpeted floor it gave up "streaks". the carpet - Also, the chair regularly fell over and didn't slide as I assumed. The little square sliders in this pack were the perfect size for this chair's legs, and now getting in and out of the chair is a lot easier (and it doesn't tip over anymore). After weeks of constant use, one of the gliders caught on the carpet and came loose, but a bit of glue fixes the problem, and so far none of the others have shown any signs of being ready to abandon ship. I have quite a bit left over from the original purchase and will use them for other (lightweight) pieces of furniture around the house and would buy them again should I need more.
