Review on Juncture Motivational Fitness Leakproof Portable by Mike Anderson

Nice bottle but bad straw design.

I like that this bottle has a flatter, low profile and fits easily in my bag and because the handle folds down it takes up less space. The hand strap is comfortable and makes it easy to carry. The included long-handled sponge and straw brush make cleaning the bottle very easy. It is not dishwasher safe so you will need to hand wash it in hot soapy water. To take a sip, you press a button, the lid opens and the straw slides out. Sometimes it pops up instantly, sometimes you have to press the button twice for the straw to appear. When it pops up, make sure it's not pointed at your face, as it will spray water droplets onto your face half the time! One of the things I don't like about this bottle is the flip top and the straw pops out in opposite directions meaning you can't use the flip top to close the straw. On some of my other bottles, you can push the flip top down and the straw will fold with it, allowing you to close the straw without even touching it. Not so with this bottle from Juncture. You must first press the straw, snap it into place, and then close the lid. It doesn't sound like much, but remember, you'll have to touch the straw with your contagious fingers after each sip! I bought this bottle for my daughter to use at school, possibly the dirtiest place on earth! If you are very careful you can slide the straw away from the black plastic base of the straw and not touch the silicone tip of the straw where your mouth enters, but will that waste time for the child? Probably no. Overall this is a great looking bottle, doesn't leak, comes in a range of beautiful colors and fits well in coasters and backpacks, but the straw design is poor and difficult to keep clean.
