Review on πŸ“‘ Enhance Your Car's Radio Signal Quality with GM Genuine Parts 20790068 Radio Antenna Base Assembly by Brian Graham

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great DIY project, leader in lighting and electrics

Installation went even smoother than I expected. I just used my fingers to lower the headliner. I removed the bolts from the hangers but found my car didn't need them. A 1/4" ratchet and 10mm socket quickly freed the old part so I could trace the wires to the connectors. Unplugging was the hardest part and I unfortunately snapped one of the ends on the side of the car (a bit of tape secured it). Then I tightened the screw again (with the help of my dear wife who held the antenna on the roof). From start to finish, including the five minute wait for my wife's help, it took 38 minutes. The video I watched said 90 minutes. Of course I'm very mechanically inclined, but I think anyone with the determination and the bare minimum of hand tools can install this. Much better than paying the dealer for 1 1/2 hours labor plus parts!
