I could now use this iron for almost any electronic soldering job. I have to say that this beast is only good because the iron beast is so dainty, but when power is needed, for example to weld a spare transformer with its monstrous 5mm studs, it gets the job done without the handle getting hot becomes. The variety of advice is simply incredible. You literally have a tooltip for every application. Using this tool and the right tip and temperature you can do anything from surface mount integrated circuits to 5mm studs on transformers with any solder terminal voltage. I recommend this device to any beginner/amateur electronics writer as well as a professional doing gardening. I have been using an iron for over 40 years and this is my new favorite, the tool pouch is amazing.
