Review on πŸ’‘ Assistant for Changing Compatible Recessed Lighting by Josh Jeffries

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Super bright, super thin, super light

This was exactly what I wanted, a bright but thin light that leaves enough room for the usual insulation on top. In these spots I had a traditional lamp with a smaller aperture and even with bright bulbs it didn't seem as bright as this one. With them, all the lumens go straight there, make the room brighter, and not into a hole or into the attic. I have an old, fairly thick stucco ceiling that is still holding up. Many other flashlights I looked at didn't have a junction box and the wires were too short and flimsy for me to use a regular junction box. I installed 5 out of 6, all 5 worked fine and I have a spare in case something weird happens. My only complaint is that the bezel on the back is quite small, trying to get the perfect sized hole was a little nerve wracking. I ended up buying a disk cutter just to make sure I could make a decent sized hole. It usually only took a little pressure to make them fit snugly. If you can't have anyone above and below the light, triple check the dimensions with the hole pattern card before you start fitting it in there. It won't be very easy either if you find out that it's not quite right. fits because the springs are really strong.
