Review on ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ GeekPi Raspberry Pi 4 Fan and Low-Profile CPU Cooler with RGB Cooling Fan and Heatsink - Compatible with Raspberry Pi 4 Model B, Raspberry Pi 3B+, and Raspberry Pi 3 Model B (Silver) by Smokeythecryptkeeper Kaewchay

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very cool (pun intended)

Great for cooling Raspberry Pi 4. I went with the higher version mainly because I liked the potential for more heat pipe contact with two separate 5mm heat pipes that run through the CPU block, compared to a single pipe in the high version (https://www.amazon.com/GeeekPi-Raspberry-Cooling-Cooler-Heatsink/dp/B07V35SXMC). Installation: I took a Dremel with a polishing attachment and polished the area of the heatsink that will contact the processor on the rPi and polished the top of the rPi processor (probably not necessary but I've already removed the dremel). I also bent the mounting brackets a bit to push the heatsink a little more onto the CPU. I just used the mounting plate and hardware that came with the heatsink. I didn't use the thermal pads that came with it, I used the silicone thermal paste I had (it was Phanteks PH-NDC). Conditions: Ambient temperature approx. 21 ยฐC, operated according to the official US rPi standard. BC power supply. Temperatures: Working Stock Settings, at 100% CPU usage the temperature stayed below 34ยฐC for 15 minutes when I ran it. Using Tom's hardware manual as a reference, overclocked to 2GHz (overclocked to 0.5GHz) and over voltage (0.15V) the processor and at 100% load for 20 minutes the temperature never went above 44C. Compared to the standard ratings of 80ยฐC+ without a heatsink and people were happy with 60ยฐC+ with the fan, I think these temperatures are great! Cons: If there was one thing I could change I would probably replace the fan, the color changing is terrible and the brightness borders on annoying, mine will probably be replaced with a less bright fan at some point in the near future.
