I tested four AA rechargeable batteries which the previously used charger showed as fully charged with a simple LED. The reading from the Snado charger immediately told me they weren't fully charged. This Snado reading really ensures you are getting the most out of your batteries. The ability to select amperage (see above left) can speed up charging if needed, although this may affect battery life. Animated LEDs above each battery let you know the battery charge and state of charge without having to switch between them to see the percentage of each battery. The meter on the bottom left alternates between charging time and mAh and shows the power consumption. The next two show the current voltage and the current charging percentage. With it, you can fully understand the condition of the battery. The USB power cable allowed me to charge directly from a self-powered USB hub, which is much more convenient than an AC plug, which limited me to a hard-to-reach power strip or outlet. The small carry bag makes it very convenient to take with you when you travel. The flexibility and convenience of this charger is far beyond that of chargers that simply indicate the charge level with an LED.
