The only thing I didn't like / didn't like was the case. The belt loop has a Velcro closure that allows you to adjust it to fit different belt sizes, and also offers a quick release if you get stuck in some pinched place. It also charges a battery in a day if you're taking a lot of measurements, so a high-capacity battery would be nice.

The green laser on this unit is the most visible I have ever used and can be seen from a great distance. However, on bright, sunny days, which are the norm here in the California desert, the device won't read lasers more than 25 feet away. Even if I see a point 40, 50 or even 60 feet away, the measurement doesn't register. Very frustrating and disappointing as I am very happy with the visibility of the laser itself.

Very thankful that this happened when it happened. As an experienced real estate appraiser, my eyes just can't see the red dot of my Disto lasers anymore. While this Bosch is limited in its overall menu of options compared to the Disto, this little green laser excels at metering. Also, the baby will vibrate to let you know when it's recording the distance. Battery life was good when using the Energizer Ultimate Lithium. This is a great little tool!

Screen won't rotate, deal breaker for meedit: Come find out the screen just won't rotate, red 165-40 and love it, quite a downgrade. I install signs and graphics professionally, if the screen doesn't rotate I have to stick my head out to see the readings, which I won't do. So I'm going to keep it and use it around the house, the green laser is cool but I'm not going into the field with me - I prefer the smaller form factor of the red one anyway, it's too bulky to put in my lunch bag.

Buy once, cry once! Yes there are plenty of these for a third of the price, I know I have a full case of these. All are complete rubbish compared to Bosch. I use this daily for exterior construction and it NEVER fails. And yes, the green laser leaves the red laser in the dust. It works great even in bright sunlight.
