Review on 40496 Bracket Lever Kit by David Ocampo

Received this kit to use with my B&M Unimatic ratchet switch. This kit is required to convert a Ford AOD transmission to a floor shifter. There are a few other minor components and tweaks you'll need to complete this customization. If you are using the newer E4OD gearbox you will need a few extra parts and a different set of levers. This kit is designed to match the shift rod in your transmission and you should be familiar and familiar with changing the settings on a stock transmission. The reason for this is to adjust the position where the cable should be for your B&M derailleur. This bracket allows you to assist with shifting and position the shifter cable in a position that clears your exhaust. If installed incorrectly, the shift cable will melt. If you either can't do this or are uncomfortable doing so, I suggest you take your car to an ASE certified shop and have this kit installed. It's not very difficult, but it's very important that you do it right. Sorry for the verbosity. I recommend this seller.
