I bought a replacement because the screen on my last remote didn't work - I tried to change the batteries on my last remote to no avail. So I bought this new one and put fresh batteries from the old remote into the new one. Still does not work! I read a review that new batteries help so I went back to my battery pack, rummaged through it, replaced the batteries and it worked! But then I thought, hey, wait a minute! What if I put these batteries in an old remote control? I did and this remote worked too. Pancakes. I'm thinking maybe I put a used battery in my battery (seems unlikely to me) or I have bad batteries in my 20's battery (who knows). So now I have two working remotes. I left 4 stars because it's just plain annoying. I wish the damn remote would just die if it couldn't work 100%. That half of the process where the buttons work but the screen doesn't is just useless. Ultimately works as intended, but the design sucks.
