My 6 year old granddaughter loved this toy set and has had lots of fun playing with cars over the years. So this extended package, with a rug and soft books as extras, was a natural fit for the new granddaughter. She may be a bit young, at six months to start, but she'll probably be able to play with it for five years. But be careful with the carpet. It's good for small kids but it's flimsy and I don't want to walk on it and slip and fall.
