After reading the description of these pants I thought they were perfect for working outdoors. I work in the fields or on roofs. I prefer Columbia's silver rib pants, but the crotch of these pants is too tight. It's a nightmare when your job requires sitting. The crotch of these MIER pants is perfect, they have a great stretch. Much more comfortable than Columbia pants, they are day and night. These pants are trapped in too much heat. These pants felt like a sultry jungle. I had to partially open them on my knees to let air in. These things don't breathe well. They are much thicker than the Columbia. Nevertheless, I am satisfied with their comfort. I just save them for spring and fall.
