Common problem on Honda Accord and Odyssey. Before I removed the old block I checked the circuit to make sure the starter was bad. Then I removed the old starter to make sure it was bad. I also tested the new launcher before installing it to make sure it worked well. It looks like it's the solenoid, not the starter, but since the replacement starter came as a unit and the motor is also dated it might be a good idea to just swap them both out. I then installed and tested the new starter before installing the battery tray and rear battery. It squeaks a little every time, but I think that's normal. Maybe I pay more attention to that than my old machine. But most of all, the woman is happy that it works and that the car is running again.
