Review on 💻 Hima USB 3.1 Front Panel Hub: 5.25-inch Optical Drive Expansion Board with 7 Ports - Type-C, USB 3.0, USB 2.0 by Derrick Patterson

Hima's 5.25 inch USB 3.1 front panel works well to provide USB ports on the front panel. We appreciated the presence of a USB Type-C port, as well as USB 2.0 and USB 3.1 Type-A ports. There are not many such devices with a USB Type-C port. We have tested all USB ports and they work perfectly. The cables and connectors appear to be of good quality and the cords are quite long. While the panel appears gray in the image, it's black, consistent with our other 5.25-inch devices. We didn't test the microphone and headset jacks since we use USB devices. There was a problem with the installation: The holes in the Hima unit are a bit high, about 1/16 inch. We had to use a file to lengthen the metal slots on our 5.25" bays. For other devices, such as B. an optical drive, this problem does not occur.
