Purple socks fit very well. The space in the sock is not too short for the foot length. My very wide calves are snug, but not too tight. The shank length from ankle to knee was long enough but not so long that I had to turn the sock up. Overall I'd say this pair of socks fit exactly as it should. And I liked the color. However, the sea-green pair is the reason for the decrease in the number of stars. The aquamarine pair was too tight at the foot to put on and shorter in the length of the foot. At the end of the day, this pair of socks became uncomfortable on the toes. The neck of the sock fit well around my very wide calves but I was able to put the socks on. The length of the bar wasn't the same as the purple pair as this pair didn't reach my knee. They were about 1 inch to 2.5 cm tall and half the size of my knee. I haven't worn the pink socks yet so I hope they fit as well as the purple ones. If not, I might have to go back to deduct another star. I haven't washed them yet, but don't see any problems. In general I like the colors; I just thought these companies could better regulate the quality of the size. As an additional thought; sea green socks are made differently. There is a white lining/lining in this pair that is not found on the pink or purple pair of socks. I think if celadon were made the same as pink and purple they would match much better. By the way, I wore pink socks and they fit just as well as purple socks. No problem.
