It's small but it works. I bought it for our basement as it says 2500 square feet. I'm sure he'll probably be able to get most of the basement up to the right humidity level eventually, but he'll probably need to work a week at a time to try and keep up. I would best use this for 500-800 square meters, no more. The fill bucket is absolutely tiny, I don't know if it even holds a gallon of water, and we have to empty it every 8 hours. The drain hose is ridiculous and it's good that the bucket stays in and the drain hose is there because the fitting is leaking. Still, at $115, it's hard to go wrong in a small space. It's nice and quiet though. If it wasn't so cheap it would have gotten 1 star but again it's hard to beat that value in sales.
