Review on Quilting Marking Essentials Bundle: 10 Tailor'S Chalks, 4 Heat Erasable Fabric Markers With Refills, And 3 Sewing Fabric Pencils by Jeff Rothstein

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Previous reviews were negative, but I decided to take a chance for a few dollars.

1. The previous reviews have gone where I cannot find them, but I do remember that previous purchasers found the iron-away pens difficult to assemble. The refills are not in the pen casings and at first, I couldn't put them together. I took another look just now and suddenly it all became clear. I have not tried to remove the marks with an iron yet.2. A couple of the blue tailor's chalk (or wax) arrived broken. I tried them on a project, and they worked, but the color absolutely DID come off on my hand. I hope the color comes off when I want to remove it. There are no directions in the package, so I hope that I don't permanently set the marks by using the wrong technique. 3. The dressmaker pencils are very small but do make a mark. Again, I hope that the marks come off. 4. The pencil sharpener is the smallest, cheapest on the market, which was obvious from the advertising picture.

Pros
  • The sewing fabric pencils are easy to sharpen and come with a sharpener, making them a convenient and long-lasting marking option
Cons
  • The Sewing Fabric Pencils may not work well on thicker fabrics
