One refill and one pencil don't work, one chalk is broken.

I received this set yesterday and tested every item on a pice of fabric. One refill (red) and one pencil (pink) don't work (don't leave a trace on a fabric), and one chalk arrived broken.I am keeping this item because it is still a good deal, but you are getting much less than listed, for your money.I am going to use refills without placing them into their pens. The refills would dry out much faster when placed inside the pens because you have to remove the refills caps in order to place them…

Pros
  • This chalk is good, but if pressure is applied to get a deeper line it has a tendency to crack.
Cons
  • Not useful when working with heavy fabric types.

Mostly great good for me

Tailors Chalk, Sewing Fabric Markers and Tracing Tools,10PCS Tailor’s Chalk,4PCS Heat Erasable Fabric Marking PenThe triangle-shaped chalk is awesomeThe pencils work just fineThe pens run out faster than I expected. I really did know what to expect from them since I had never used them before. I now believe that the pens are for small markings. I used them for an entire line down a long sheet. It worked just fine and was easy to see just gone before I knew it.Would definitely buy it again.

Pros
  • The pen finished to fast and the pencil is to short I used it for sewing
Cons
  • While I like the tailors chalk the rest of the items in this package are junk or do not work!

Satisfied with for my opinion

Everything came as shown, no damaged chalk and the edges were sharp. The pens seem to be working fine so far plus they came with a refill. The pencils however are not too great but I am satisfied overall

Pros
  • Marking & Tracing Tools
Cons
  • The Sewing Fabric Pencils may be too light in color to see on some fabrics

Pens & pencils both do not work

The chalk triangles are fine. The pencils are full of broken lead - rending useless. The pens do not work at all, none of them work.Would not buy again or recommend unless you only want the triangles.

Pros
  • Professional Tailor Chalk Triangle advantages:1.Makes lines, points and tiny makers 2.Marking precision, move smoothly, creates a smooth, clear, straight line. 3.Made of  kaolin  clay, not wax,It is easier wash off. 4.it doesn’t leave a lot of extra dust on the lines while marking,And won't get your hands dirty. 5.Almost compatible with all fabric:work great on cotton, leather, felt, suede and synthetic fibers.it's best to stick to the classics
Cons
  • The Heat Erasable Fabric Markers may require multiple passes to create a visible mark

Could have did without all the rest

I could’ve done without all the rest taylor chalk was all i needed…the rest of the add-ons was just a waste… Flimsy product

Pros
  • 9.6 ounces
Cons
  • The Sewing Fabric Pencils may break easily

Chalk and Pencils are Fine.Markers Don't Work

The tailor's chalk and pencils are fine -- like having a sharpener included. Unfortunately every single fabric marker doesn't work: not sure if they're dried out or what but they've been tossed.

Pros
  • Of all the marking items I have bought these have been the best especially the triangle chalk.
Cons
  • The bundle may not include enough refills for the Heat Erasable Fabric Markers

Revainrating 4 out of 5

wow for the chalk in my review

The chalk works fine, but the pens not too good; let me clarify. The white pens doesn't work at all; waste of money. The black leaves a mark which it is not suppose to, the red and blue works great, so a little bit disappointed in some of the products.

Pros
  • Is as described
Cons
  • The bundle may not include enough colors for those planning intricate designs

Chalk works, pencils/pens are garbage

The chalk triangles work as expected, but the pencils seem to be too hard to rub off on my fabrics (so they make no mark), and the ballpoint pens all seem to be dried out/stuck so they don't make any marks at all.Mostly bought it for the chalk, so it's fine I guess. Lot of excess garbage though.

Pros
  • The tailor's chalks are easy to apply and can be used to mark both straight lines and curves, making them a versatile marking tool
Cons
  • The Heat Erasable Fabric Markers may not be compatible with all irons

Chalk is worth the price of admission

The chalk was the best chalk I’ve ever used. Showed up well and was sharp on edge. One piece came broken. The pencil was a failure. Did not show up well. Haven’t tried the pens yet

Pros
  • CampTek
Cons
  • The Sewing Fabric Pencils may cause fabric to become stiff during use

Gives you a variety of ways to mark up your garment/patterns

The package is good value for money. However, my yellow chalk also broke. There might be some flaw with them as I have seen others with pictures showing their yellow chalk broken almost identical to mine. The pencils are good and the little brush on each of them is quite useful. It helps when removing threads after unpicking. The marker refills fit. I was worried for a bit but then found that, silly me, I was putting them in the wrong way around. I haven't tried them on fabric as yet but they…

Pros
  • Súper fácil de usa. Muy buena inversión y es un excelente producto
Cons
  • The bundle may be more expensive than buying each product individually

Chalk works great! in my review

Pens were so so. Hard to transfer onto cotton cloth. But the chalk was great. Super easy to use and transfers easily. A few of the chalk pieces were broken, but they could still be used easily. So much better than the chalk bought at fabric stores. Definitely recommend just for the chalk alone! Only gave 4 stars since the pens didn’t work so well and a few of the chalk pieces were broken. But good value for the money.

Pros
  • Worked perfectly for my quilting projects
Cons
  • The Tailor's Chalk may break easily and in turn make a mess

Not enough ink! good for me

I bought this marking set to make a quilt. The heat erasable pens were great, except that they ran out of ink way too soon. I hope to find a similar product with more ink in the pens. For my project, the tailor's chalk did not give the precise lines I needed.

Pros
  • 5.83 x 4.37 x 3.39 inches
Cons
  • The colors in the bundle may not be consistent with each other

Good price for standard tools

I finally got tired of using a sharpie. Saw this set that includes basically everything so thought I'd give it a go. The chalk works (no reason it shouldn't), the pencils/sharpener I haven't used yet, and I've tried the pens but they're a little iffy depending on the type of material you're working with. Overall I got what I paid for and I'm happy with the purchase.

Pros
  • Nice choice
Cons
  • The Tailor's Chalk may be difficult to remove from certain fabrics

Taylors chalk and Heat Erasable Fabric pens

Was delivered very quickly and the product was as expected. Love the Taylors chalk for marking my fabric. Comes off fairly easy with a little rubbing. Easy to use.

Pros
  • I have a friend that does quilting and she need new supplies
Cons
  • The Heat Erasable Fabric Markers may require too much pressure to create a mark

Happy so far good for me

I got these on time and love love love the chalk. The pencils don't seem to work, haven't tried the pens yet. But the little kit is definitely a happy add to my sewing tools!

Pros
  • They do what they are supposed to do. Appreciated.
Cons
  • The Sewing Fabric Pencils may not create a sharp line

Be careful! best in my review

This is a very inexpensive package, and I expect most of the markers will perform okay. Just be careful with the pens. You get four empty pens and eight pen ink "refills" you have to insert yourself. That would be fine, except the pen "frames" are poorly made. Two of the four in my set didn't have openings at the point, so I couldn't put the ballpoint ink part in. I tried several McGuyver tricks to poke the holes open, without any success. After jabbing a stiletto into my hand, I decided it…

Pros
  • I work with so many colors, sometimes it's hard to find the right markings to get the lines straight.
Cons
  • There may not be enough product in the bundle for those who frequently quilt

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Chalk is great, pens not so much

Every time I try to use the pens they just don't work right. They just don't mark well. The chalk is fine, but breaks easily too.

Pros
  • Nice set easy to use
Cons
  • The colors in the bundle may not be vibrant enough

Marking did not come out of the fabric.

I started a sewing course a couple months ago and as part of the course we have to test out different ways of marking on the fabric when transferring our patterns onto our fabric. I ordered several different types and brand of sewing markers and tested them all out side by side on a piece of 100% cotton fabric. (as seen in the photos) I made one exact copy of the markings on another piece of fabric and then washed and dried that second piece of fabric on delicate cycle in the washing machine. I

Pros
  • Sew Heat Erasable Fabric Marking Pens,4 COLOR SET lets you mark on various colors of fabrics, or to color-code marks to indicate different stitches or thread colors. Includes red, white, blue and black gel pens all of your needlecraft projects.
Cons
  • The colors in the bundle may not match well with certain fabric hues

1. The previous reviews have gone where I cannot find them, but I do remember that previous purchasers found the iron-away pens difficult to assemble. The refills are not in the pen casings and at first, I couldn't put them together. I took another look just now and suddenly it all became clear. I have not tried to remove the marks with an iron yet.2. A couple of the blue tailor's chalk (or wax) arrived broken. I tried them on a project, and they worked, but the color absolutely DID come off on

Pros
  • The sewing fabric pencils are easy to sharpen and come with a sharpener, making them a convenient and long-lasting marking option
Cons
  • The Sewing Fabric Pencils may not work well on thicker fabrics

1 out of 3 ain't bad

The tailors chalk is excellent and gets 5 stars. The pens and pencils in this set aren't worth 1 star or using. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • Sewing Fabric Pencil:these water soluble pencils will be your helpful assistants during your sewing work process, they can help you to leave sewing marks on the fabric easily, the cap has a brush, which will lighten the trace mark if you make a mistake but doesn’t erase it.this pen is more suitable for rough fabrics
Cons
  • The Heat Erasable Fabric Markers may be difficult to use on stretchy fabrics
