The Bigger the Better - Kites & Wind Spinners
I tried a standard sized kite (diamond) but it didn't work. This works best with larger kites designed for stronger winds. I paired it with a Rainbow Delta and it worked pretty well (the bulk of the line started overwhelming the kite at about 250ft). Winding the string requires more force than some of the cheaper solutions and the grip is small for my hand so it hurt a bit.
