Review on Mockins Natural Carved Himalayan Stylish Lighting & Ceiling Fans by Chris Lacasse

Mine WAS NOT REAL HIMALAYAN SALT!

I wish I had researched more about Himalayan salt lamps before I missed the return deadline. The two lamps I received arrived intact although the packaging was minimal; I'm surprised they did after reading other reviews. My problem is that they are definitely not real. I found out that ALL "Himalayan" salt lamps are only from Pakistan and many companies are selling old salt lamps fraudulently. Real Himalayan salt lamps are said to give off a dim light and sweat a little. I read reviews where people complain about these things, but you know what? They also break easily when hit or dropped; Mine are solid and when the plastic is removed almost no marks are left. This is a sign of a fake. My bulbs are bright and light up large rooms like a 40 watt bulb. This is a sign of a fake. My lightbulbs do not fog up at all during the two very hot and humid months I have had them (no air conditioning). This is a sign of a fake. I've always wondered why my girlfriend keeps a folded towel under hers. I learned about all of this after purchasing a $3 Himalayan Salt candle holder from Five Below. I noticed he left a salty wet mess on the shelf the next day and I had to put a coaster under him. Thought I would do a google search before considering a return. It's sad that I was scammed by the Revain seller and not the dollar store. I will do further research to find reputable companies that sell genuine Himalayan Salt Lamps to ALL CUSTOMERS. Hope that helps.
