This inverter seems to work well for the most part, but most importantly I needed to be able to run a 20 amp charger. My charger requires 360W to operate. This inverter kept failing when the charger was plugged in. I ran some tests and the battery voltage drops to 12.4V. I would expect the voltage to drop as it takes a few seconds for a car alternator (140A) to ramp up its output current. I guess I'll keep using my cheap 400w Enermax inverter as it works with the charger with no issues. I was hoping I could charge my laptop at the same time. One of the positives is that it can easily handle a 520W load. In the same car idling I was able to run the induction hob on the minimum. I suspect that the hob is slowly increasing its power consumption. It seems that this inverter cannot work with an input voltage lower than 12V at any time, so large starting loads with a car alternator are not suitable.
