Final Updated Review: My husband convinced me to make a replacement first and see if we had the same issues. It arrived quickly but in a very different color than the one we chose (turquoise -> grey). Do I have to expect a return again because of this? No, but I'm giving it one star because it's another mistake with this order. So we spread it out again to fluff it up and didn't touch it for 24 hours. Fairly fluffy, about 4 inches tall. We put on the cover they provided us. So far the kids are finding it comfortable and I haven't seen any damage to the fabric like we did with our first. One thing I didn't mention before is that it comes packaged in a thin black pouch. Both bags were torn at the zipper location upon arrival. They will also provide you with a duffel bag made from the same futon material, but I don't believe in its durability. The bags look like they are made from reusable paper grocery bags. I still have my doubts as to how long this futon will last but now the replacement has been waiting. I have said all I can say about this product. If it falls apart in a month I won't be surprised. But I hope that refutes my skepticism. We wish you the best experience! (Returning the first mattress was easy thanks to Revain's return locations. We'd just delivered Kolya's huge rolled mattress. Thank goodness we couldn't squeeze it back into the original packaging!) Original review: We received it and unpacked it straight away so our kids could could use it as soon as possible. (We didn't use it, unwrapped it and laid it out to puff according to the seller's instructions.) It was well packaged and started to puff up right away, but still not as thick as the picture. The turquoise color is nice, but we noticed a 1" tear in the fabric (see picture) after it swelled. The material is thin, feels like cotton. I checked the stitching and it seems secure. The teardrop is disappointing as it cost close to $200 but I think I'll just patch it up because the kids have already fallen in love with it. Let's hope the extra coverage they provided prevents further damage. While not as thick as I expected, it's comfortable. Without the gap I would have given 5 stars based on price, shipping and a fairly accurate description of the product. But still, the cost is high enough that I couldn't help but notice the damage to the item. Update from original review: Day TWO, three more dingy holes. We do not have any pets. We put it on the carpet. All I did was take the edges and fluff them up a few times throughout the evening. Holes appeared at the bottom of the futon. I just wanted to fix it and consider it a loss, but that's too ridiculous. We'll send it back. I am extremely disappointed. Buy better elsewhere.
