This is our most popular brush cleaning tool. We have bought several over the past 15 years. We actually wear out the bristles with use. Our brushes are old (15+) and with this tool they can work without paint and work well. The thinner brass bristles penetrate the strands directly and remove color from the inside of the brush. The hard teeth help when the paint dries on the hub when we are working on a long project or we can wrap the brush between coats. We gave away a few to friends who are in the process of renovating their home. GREAT TOOL!
