I bought a size 8-12 knowing they were disposable - my kids lose them all the time. Considering the price, I don't mind that they fit so poorly. My kids could still put them on their arms after shrinking, but they didn't fit like new. Perhaps a larger size is an option. Not suitable for 10-12 year olds. In comparison, Target's Cat and Jack mittens don't shrink as much, but cost more ($1 a pair).
