I bought this cable because I needed a cable that could be easily unplugged and plugged back in rather than having to press a label like many DisplayPort cables. It's well suited for this purpose, especially as it also has a durable case that won't kink or wear out with regular use. I've been plugging and unplugging it for over a year now and it still looks brand new. The only downside is that the rectangular portion behind the connector is larger than most other DP cables, so it sticks out further from the monitor port than you'd like.
