This review is more about the box. Because my speaker arrived damaged. Bought it for my 2007 Mazda MX-5 Miata. I actually had a warehouse deal. Original packaging and accessories available. The problem was in the sub. It sounded fine at low volume, but once I got 1/4 volume you could tell something was wrong (more on that in a moment) before I brought it back. I had an idea so I put it on my bench. Removed the screws. Sub taken out. The box was pretty dirty inside, but nothing that compressed air couldn't handle. After examining the submarine, she made a pulling sound when depressing the cone. Most likely, the previous owner broke the sub and returned it. Yes. but the box is what i really wanted. So I did some homework and installed a different woofer. Enter kicker compRT. It fits the place perfectly! I also put some fiberfill in the box. Now the little eight in the footwell comes to life. Remember, even with factory installation, there won't be any rattling windows or bothering neighbors. It does a good job of being small and filling out the bottom end of the dash/door speakers. It is currently running at 2 ohms with the m350.1 sonic ammunition. Once gain and crossover are set, this combination of unit and subwoofer is very tight and precise. The box is small enough to fit in many applications.
