This heater is fast and works well with 220V abroad, I have used it in several European countries. Of course, immerse it in water before turning it on, otherwise it will overheat and you are likely to burn yourself. It is very easy to fix in a teapot, pot or jar. You may need to fill it up completely and drain unneeded water. Otherwise it will not be shipped properly. It took 4-5 minutes for my 1 liter kettle to come to a boil. In an aluminum or stainless steel thermos, this will take more than 2-3 minutes. Before removing the heater, make sure it is turned off. After repeated use, you will see some discoloration and some "whiteness" on the initially shiny surface, as you normally see inside several teapots. It's inevitable I think. I have not used it for 110V. Personally I use a different 110 rated heater when I travel to the US. The adapter works in many European countries, in the UK you need a different adapter. It comes with a nice travel case.
