I was hesitant due to some negative reviews but I followed the video from the unboxing site closely. If you follow the video it will flare up in 24-48 hours just like the video says. It took a while for the big lumps to appear that you had to rip apart, but once you rip them apart and let the mattress do it, it's pretty big and fluffy. And as you can see in the picture the rattle is perfect as a rattle, nice and big, I have a full size. So as long as you follow the instructions I think you were fine I'm really impressed and this is perfect for our playroom and now a guest bed. My only disappointment, I ordered navy blue and got grey. I want them to send me a marine but no one from customer service is replying to me.
