I chose this mount for my Benq 3550 mainly because I needed the (advertised) 8.6" spacing to stand up without correcting keystone distortion to fit my screen. I ended up getting almost 9 inches. once everything was connected. I had to get other screws besides the ones that came with it, but that's what I expected. My local hardware store had what I needed. The round part of the mount had 4 (instead of 3) spiral grooves, which allowed me to mount the projector very close to its center of gravity. I still had to tilt the projector up slightly to get it perfectly perpendicular to the screen (not a trapezoid), but the hex nuts let them tighten well without being too tight to move them a bit by hand. The trick is always to allow some adjustment while still keeping it where you placed it (since the tightening process itself can cause movement). So far I've been lucky and it's stayed where I aimed for. Since I have a screen, I wanted to get the image right between the edges (on all four sides) as big as possible. This vehicle allowed me (in my case) to repeat it without keystone distortion. Your experience may vary but I think it's a good vehicle.
