Review on Dometic Duo Therm RV Air Conditioner Shroud: Revamp your Old Style with ICON Brisk Air by Phil Kowal

This AC cover was purchased to replace the broken/damaged old cover that was on our partially restored '84 Fleetwood Prowler TT that used the 'old style'. Duotherm air conditioning. I'm very satisfied with this product. It was enough to press lightly on the new case to align the holes. I also replaced the old rusty steel screws with stainless steel ones and used small washers to hold the shroud better. You may need to replace the standard bolts with a larger size if your bolt holes are enlarged/ground out. All 10 holes on the sides matched perfectly. I didn't use the front holes as I felt the screws were unnecessary, but that was a personal choice. It was nice to see that the new cover was also closed on the back where the AC radiator is for even more protection, as well as with molded cooling slots like on the sides. This was a HUGE PLUS in terms of cover strength/protection compared to the standard factory AC covers which are open at the back, as well as the cheaper plastic used in the factory cover. Just remember that when not in use you will still need to cover the panel with an air conditioner cover or a small tarp to prevent wasps or other insects from entering through the cracks to build nests or otherwise cause damage to your air conditioner or connection cause drainage holes.
