It was a pleasant surprise. The lighting is bright enough in a dark room to navigate without glare (as LEDs sometimes do). Small IR sensors pick up my movements faster than I expected. which is a pleasant surprise. I have a small staircase in the garage that is in a dark corner, which makes normal motion-sensing wall lights a poor solution. I ended up using all three of these sources together at locations near the stairs to guide me and climb the stairs safely. I am very happy with them. (I installed them without the adhesive squares, so I can't comment on that aspect of the product, but the mounting kit that came with it looks reasonable.) Very good value for money.
