This is a lot smaller than I expected. That's the size he advertises, I just imagined it differently. It fits great almost anywhere because it's small so I'm not complaining! The dark imitation wood looks very stylish and matches the rest of my furniture. To turn it on, you need to lightly press the button below. I had to put it on a hard surface then it worked perfectly. I like the smart mode feature of this product because it turns off if no one is detected for 5 minutes. It turns back on 3 seconds after the infrared sensor detects someone. This feature works really well and I'm thrilled that I can forget to turn it off and not panic about it burning my house down. It puts out a surprising amount of heat for its size and vibrates to warm the entire room. If you like the color choice, you'll probably love this. UPDATE: This stopped working last week. I have loved this product so far. I am disappointed that its lifespan was so short.
