The soft fabric side of this item is beautiful. Compared to kitchen rags or sponges, that's fine. Love the fact that we can throw them in the washing machine to wash. But the cleaning side just doesn't do any better than a paper towel. If you want to clean up after a glass of milk or a warm soup, then this sponge is for you. However, if you've actually cooked something that's stuck to the pot or bowl, you'd better soak that thing for a few hours and then spend the day cleaning the pan, and it'll still be a miracle if that miracle microfiber sponge cleans. Buy it for simple things, but you still need cheap green and yellow scouring pads to do any real work.
