They are bulkier than I expected and don't even have the slightest cleaning surface. I was expecting a scrubber, but other similar products I've bought had some scrubbing ability on one side. Plus it's so fat! It barely fits in a cup to wash out and since it's so big you have to wring it really well to keep it from getting stinky.

I ordered these because my favorite brand was out of stock and who doesn't scrub everything these days? After using these for a while I will never go back to any other brand. They are thicker, absorb a lot of liquid and the mesh and fabric sides are very durable. I'm talking about wiping out the oven and then tossing it in the laundry. They arrived quickly with appropriate but not overdone packaging, which I really appreciate.

Sorry I didn't click on all the pictures and realized they were 'commercial' pictures. The description says "kitchen", non-commercial. I rated them a 3 because I didn't use them. I'm keeping them because they look like a good product, I'm sure they will come in handy for something. I'm an idiot for not realizing it, but if you're like me and don't read the fine print, then this isn't for your dinner. Another sponge could probably be cut in half, but I wouldn't try this one.

The soft fabric side of this product is beautiful. Compared to kitchen rags or sponges, that's fine. Love the fact that we can throw them in the washing machine to wash. But the cleaning side just doesn't do any better than a paper towel. If you want to clean up after a glass of milk or a warm soup, then this sponge is for you. However, if you've actually cooked something that sticks to the pot or bowl, then you'd better soak that thing for a few hours and then plan to spend the day cleaning…

These sponges are definitely not intended for use in the kitchen. They are too big for women's hands and even men find it difficult to hold them. Material spoils faster than expected and food sticks like crazy. They also get smelly quickly, even if you wring out food and water after each use. Save your money here and upgrade to purple Scotch Brite sponges - lasts around 6 months each if you take care of them.
