Review on 🔪 Bora NGX Saw Plate with 55-Inch Non-Chip Strip for Tear Out-Free Straight Cuts, Compatible with NGX Clamp Edge System, Model 544001 by Robert Grimm

I bought this to make clean and straight cuts on melamine shelves. The first cuts turned out great! Yesterday I cut open a stack of 6 shelves outside in the sun and found them crooked and crooked. The rubber tabs on the yokes and the traction bars on the plate were found not to work well when heated. I checked that all three collars are tight and snug and tried again - the saw still wanders. I removed all 3 of those clamps and instead modified my saw's base plate to have four 10-32 mounting screw holes that matched the holes I drilled in the Bora plate. So folks, mixed reviews on this one. The way this plate holds the saw securely to the NGX rail is great, but those clamps and traction straps don't really work when they get hot (hot sunny day). I've spent a lot of time modifying my saw and this bora board to get a safe sawing position and now I have to remake a stack of shelves that don't fit in our pantry.
