This is my second purchase and to begin with it's nice and quiet, easy to set up and very reassuring. I liked it so much that when the engine on the first one started humming quite loudly after the first water change I had no problem getting another one thinking maybe I just had a defective one. This was not the case as this new one, the second one I got, did the same thing after a water change. I have no idea why it's doing this, if anyone has found a way to stop this I'd like to know. As nice as it is, the constant buzz pretty much kills any relaxation. (It sounds like a broken laptop fan and is just as loud in case anyone cares.) Like I said, I love it, but if this one keeps making that horrible noise I'll get rid of it and not order a new one. Third. Shame because I really like the way it looks and it's perfect for relaxing. If anyone has/had this problem and found a solution please let me know.
