I've never worn real Birks because I couldn't find the vegan ones in Ebay but their comfort is legendary I would say. I really wanted a slide type sandal that wasn't an Adidas or Nike slide you know? Something with a little less "slide and sock" look (even though I wasn't going to be wearing socks with them).I bought my true size (9) and they fit me just right. There's no breaking in period required and they were comfortable from the get go. I haven't worn any of my other sandals or any other shoe to go outside. The only thing is that if you happen to step on the edge it's very painful but I've got to admit I was walking with as much pep in my step as a sloth, so the sandal just slid forward on my foot. It's only happened once but it's not enough of a deterrent to not wear them obviously. They do stretch out a little bit at first so I did have to bring the buckles in twice after my first wear. I haven't had to adjust them since. Definitely recommend these 100% I've seen Birks before and I don't think other people can tell they're not Birks just from glancing at them 🤷🏻‍♀️
