I have a screen on the wall of an open balcony on the 3rd floor and need an easy way to install an impromptu outdoor home theater in good weather. I only have a small battery powered pocket projector that weighs next to nothing and all I had to do was mount it at eye level so I didn't have to break the portable stand. So I thought some sort of wand that sticks out of the wall opposite my screen and can be easily removed when not in use would be ideal. But it had to be able to slide out of the wall a bit, because if it was too far from the opposite screen wall, the image would be too big to fit on the screen. Enter this handy little retractable bracket with the correct mounting screw for my Pico Pocket LED Projector. Since my projector weighs less than a pound, I wasn't too concerned about whether the stem would be strong enough. And since my projector is battery powered, I don't have to worry about power cords or anything like that. I simply attached the base to a wall, and whenever I want to watch an outdoor show, I simply charge the projector, transfer the media to the flash drive, insert the pole into the mount, and screw the projector to the end and insert it into flash drive and turn it on. Voila! Possibility of immediate outside viewing.
