They were easy to install in my old house. The bracket or base was properly drilled and lined up with my old junction boxes. However, I have used other mounting screws which allowed me to insert the mounting screws first and then the bracket or base could be slid over the screw heads through the keyhole shaped slots and then easily tightened. With the supplied screws this could be done, but you're blindly searching for the junction box screw holes to match the holes in the base as the screw heads are too big to fit through the keyhole shaped slots in the base. It's okay, but my method saved time. Connected with three wires: black, white and ground. The plastic lens simply clicks into place. Looks great and gives a lot of light. I hope the lens stays white and doesn't turn yellow. The time will show.
