This is a great product, I bought it a few days ago and just decided to splurge on the 24 set of blocks. I was kind of confused as to why my tin case arrived plastic wrapped but without a lid, makes it harder to store. The colors are vibrant, blend with water and you can get gorgeous new colors. As others said the 12 pack could use a couple brighter colors but they're sold open stock at stores if you need a specific hue. If you haven't used watercolor paints/pencils they have a learning curve - the YouTube tutorials are so helpful. I used to do acrylic painting but got too difficult with our cats roaming the house, this is so much less of a hassle
