My wife is a quilter and she loves these

We went to New Zealand and until then I didn't know that pure New Zealand wool rugs like this existed. When we came back and I saw how my wife carefully ironed her quilts before cutting and sewing them, I checked and found that many quilters have this. While they weren't cheap, a cost-benefit analysis of saving my wife's time and improving her ability to sew and quilt better made me realize it was a must-have for quilters who make a lot of quilts. One caveat is that you don't use steam when ironing these wool pads. I've read reviews and heard stories about how wool smells when it's wet and heated. Not something I want to experience as the smell of wet wool from a live sheep is not a very pleasant smell. But these used with a dry iron NEVER smelled. Oh, and the benefit of having two of these is that she puts them back to back on her cutting table and can iron longer pieces without having to rearrange them to iron smaller ones. Again, time was saved and quality improved.
