They are great for quilting

They are great for pressing quilt blocks and making bindings. Both fit perfectly on the ironing board creating a large surface area for ironing and one can be detached and taken to classes and retreats. There was a slight smell of wool when first used, but after a few uses it was completely gone. I don't use steam, but I use Best Press or Spray Strength with no ill effects on the coat. The iron must be set to the wool setting as the cotton/linen setting is too hot and will burn the fine fibers…

Two Pads Are Better Than One

I've struggled for a long time to throw out what looks like a bunch of pressed dryer piles. Thing is, there's no substitute for those wooly waffles, and when I stumbled across this deal, which is a simple 2-for-1 deal, I wrestled with the question again, 'well, what's wrong with them when are they? the only good ones." My wife is a quilter and she loves these

When we came back and I saw how my wife carefully ironed her quilts before cutting and sewing them, I checked and found that many quilters have this. While they weren't cheap, a cost-benefit analysis of saving my wife's time and improving her ability to sew and quilt better made me realize it was a must-have for quilters who make a lot of quilts. One caveat is that you don't use steam when…

Get those pads! on stitch

I have quilted. This means I spend a lot of time ironing silly little pieces of fabric. I hate clicking anything, it annoys me. But if I want nice quilted tops then I have to push - nature of the beast. These pads took what I hated and made it a worthwhile part of my process. When quilting, you iron EVERY smelly seam - front and back - slide, turn, slide, turn - it's exhausting and tiring. Enter these press pads. I don't have to turn a piece to make a second shot. I don't know (or don't care)…
