Just the right size for collecting cat litter. That means I put it next to the tray and when I'm sifting feces every other day I use it with Simply Human sachets on the liner. Closes easily and securely. However, it's uncomfortable to keep my foot on the pedal while paddling, so I put a 2-pound weight (a rechargeable battery in my case) on the pedal to keep it open while paddling. I can then fill the inner jar, take out the bag, tie it up with the attached ties and just toss it in my regular trash can to keep the odor and poop under control. I highly recommend it for this purpose. I've attached a few photos to show the size and how I openly support it.
